中国的检查制度（英）Theprosecutionsystemreferstothenature,missionandorganizationalstructureofacountry’sprosecutionapparatus,aswellastheprinciplesforitsorganizationandactivitiesandworkinginstitutions.AccordingtotheLawontheOrganizationofPeople’sProcuratorates,thePeople’sProcuratoratesaretheState’sorgansforlegalsupervisionthatexercisethepowerofprosecution.TheyareelectedbyandreporttothePeople’sCongressatthesamelevel.OrganizationofProcuratoratesArticle2oftheLawontheOrganizationofPeople’sProcuratoratesstatesthatprocuratoratesaresetupatthesupremeandlocallevels;inaddition,specialprocuratoratessuchasmilitaryprocuratorialorgansaresetup.Suchatop-downstructurereflectsthepyramidstructureofthecountry’sprosecution,inwhichthesuperiorleadsthesubordinate.Thisisnoticeablydifferentfromthecourtsysteminwhichthehighercourtsupervisesthelowercourt.Thiscentralizedsystemiscreatedtomaintaintheconsistencyofthecountry’slegalstructure.TheSupremePeople’sProcuratorateleadslocalandspecialprocuratorates.Localmeansprovincial,autonomousregionalandmunicipalprocuratoratesandtheirbranches,aswellasprocuratoratesattheautonomousprefecture/citiesdirectlyunderprovincialgovernments,county,city,autonomouscityandurbandistrictlevels.Specialprocuratoratesincludemilitaryandrailwaytransportationprosecution.Procuratoratesareestablishedatlevelscorrespondingtothoseofcourtssothatcasescanbeprosecutedinaccordancewithlegalprocedures.ResponsibilitiesofProcuratoratesAccordingtotheLawontheOrganizationofPeople’sProcuratoratesandotherrelatedlaws,procuratoratesexercisethefollowingpowers:Exercisethepowerofprosecutiononcasesoftreason,separatismandmajorcrimesseriouslyhinderingtheuniformimplementationofthestate’spolicies,laws,writs,administrativedecrees;Investigatecriminalcasestheydirectlyhandle;Reviewcasesinvestigatedbypublicsecurityandstatesecurityauthoritiestodecideifarrests,prosecutionsarewarranted;supervisethelegalityofsuchinvestigations;Initiatepublicprosecutionandsupportpublicprosecutionforcriminalcases;supervisethelegalit
